Outsourcing is described as “one of the greatest organisational and industry structure shifts of the century”. It is taking place in every corner of the globe and extends beyond the outsourcing of IT functions to include the outsourcing of business processes such as human resources, procurement, marketing, accounting, document management and a whole host of other non-core business functions. Shared services is also gaining significant momentum.
We work very closely with clients on their outsourcing projects and assist them across the entire life cycle of the outsourcing process, from preparing the request for proposals, drafting and negotiating the contract, schedules and service levels, to assisting clients managing the issues arising during the life span of the outsourcing arrangement.
Our Services Include:
- Drafting and negotiating IT Outsourcing agreements relating to the outsourcing of IT infrastructure management, applications management and support, data centres, security and help desk, amongst others
- Drafting and negotiating Business Process Outsourcing agreements including those relating to the human resource, accounting, payroll, security, customer relationship management functions, as well as the outsourcing of specific banking functions, e.g. cheque processing, self-service terminal management
- Advising clients on legal issues and documentation relating to the deployment and implementation of Shared Services
- Advising clients on issues related to outsourcing including, personnel and asset transfers, fixing and managing service levels, benchmarking, transformation initiatives, change management, exit strategies and dispute resolution mechanisms
- Advising on compliance with regulations and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals pertaining to outsourcing in specific regulated sectors as well as advising on related corporate issues
