Samirah specialises in corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, new media and internet related issues.

Samirah acts for clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other general corporate matters, as well as regularly advises them on intellectual property, content and governance issues relating to digital media, online services and the internet. Her clients include major public listed corporations, multinational companies, public sector agencies, government linked corporations, industry associations and technoprenuers.

Prior to joining the firm, Samirah was with Azmi & Associates and Rajes Hisham Pillai & Gopal, where she was involved in a wide variety of corporate, intellectual property, information technology and telecommunications related matters.

Samirah is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). She has previously served on the Intellectual Property Law Committee of the Malaysian Bar. She has also contributed articles to Malaysian and international law journals.

Samirah graduated from the University of Malaya (1999) and also holds a diploma in Shariah Law and Practice from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (2000), and a Masters of Law degree in Internet and Electronic Law from Monash University (2002). Samirah was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2000.
